According to historical records, shooting originated from hunting and military activities. Marquetry competitions have been held in Switzerland since the 15th century. The game of running deer shooting started in Scandinavia more than 500 years ago. In the early 19th century, some European countries also held live pigeon shooting games, these are the prototype of the modern shooting competition.
